Equine Therapeutic Massage
A therapeutic massage increases circulation of blood, reduces lymphedema, releases muscle tension and promotes relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system to decrease the heart rate. Specifically, a therapeutic massage can relieve muscle pain, increase oxygenation to specific areas of the body to speed healing, decrease atrophy of muscles and maintain muscle tone and elasticity.
A therapeutic massage will help your horse prepare for the exercise of their day-to-day life.
A typical session lasts between 45 and 90 minutes.

Equine Sports Massage
A sports massage is very similar to the therapeutic massage with a few additional strokes and pressures applied to specific areas of the body to identify tension that is more commonly found in horses at a higher level of work or performance. The massage can be applied pre-work to increase the circulation of blood to the muscles to increase flexibility and prevent injury, or post-work to reduce lymphedema, increase venous return and release muscle tension to prevent stiffness or soreness after exercise.
A sports massage will prepare your horse both mentally and physically for competition.
A typical session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes.

Equine Senior massage
A senior massage is specifically tailored to the needs of a senior horse, incorporating passive touch and additional effleurage strokes that are unique to this type of massage. As many senior horses are losing muscle tone with age or a decrease in physical activity, a senior massage helps to reduce muscle atrophy, while also, relaxing muscles, decreasing pain caused by arthritis, increasing the metabolism to support digestive health and promotes relaxation and emotional health.
A senior massage will help keep your aging companion comfortable and content.

Equi-Taping
Equi-tape helps to decompress tissue for an increase in circulation, encourage proper recoil of muscles and support the body without restricting natural movement like other support tapes. An Equi-taping session can help your horse with a variety of injuries or problems they are facing, both for therapeutic purposes or while training. The tape pairs well with a massage to further reduce muscle tension, relax trigger points and increase circulation to specific areas of the body. Fascia tension can be released and fascia trains reorganized for better mobility and elasticity. It is also possible to support specific joints, tendons and ligaments during normal exercise, or while recovering from an injury while also reducing the risk of overcompensation. Taping before exercise will help to improve proprioceptive awareness and activate specific muscles to reduce atrophy and encourage proper bio-mechanics.
Equi-Tape can be used to help recover from injuries, support the body in daily exercise or pair with a massage session to increase the effectiveness.
A typical session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes.
